Message from the Program Committee

The theme of this year’s convention is Emerging Technologies and Growth Industries In the areas of Renewable Energy and Healthcare sectors.  We would like to focus on emerging technology topics that have tremendous future potential growth such as nanotechnology, healthcare and biotechnology, clean energy, at the same time leveraging on the amazing growth rate in IT and wireless in India. We also want to explore opportunities to do business with US Federal Government agencies, Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, we also have a panel discussion on franchising for people who would like to get a quick entry into new business venture. The recently proposed changes in intellectual property laws (patent laws) is an important topic for all technology related businesses. One of our panels will discuss the changes and their impact on businesses in India and USA.

The convention focuses on the three major stake holders: US based companies with branches and doing business in India, Indian businesses exploring opportunities and collaborations with the US based companies, and NRI owned American businesses.

The different sessions of the convention will focus on creating new strategic alliances, nurturing and enhancing existing strategic alliances, showcase successful strategic alliances as role models, showcase successes in industry verticals and discuss about furthering in terms of strategic alliances like AAHOA, other NRI franchises, IT, wireless, healthcare, energy, social entrepreneurship, women led entrepreneur ships and women in leadership roles, Let us leverage on successes in some verticals to extend or model in other verticals, brainstorm and confer on ways to establish and gain leadership in new verticals like nano - micro - nano-bio technologies.

We are proud of all members of the program committee who have assembled a list of illustrious and successful business, government and academic leaders to give insights into the topics of discussion. We hope these discussions will bring new ideas, alliances, networking opportunities, and business opportunities for the attendees. We welcome you to the convention on behalf of the program committee. We hope you will enjoy and benefit from this program.
